On April 11th, English Bluff held our 3rd annual Spelling Bee presented by our PAC. The Spelling Bee is the culminating event for the broader Spell-A-Thon fundraiser. Students must recall a list of challenging words appropriate to their grade level and collect sponsors for their efforts. The money raised will go toward our new playground initiative. All students who received 100% on their test were entered into the draw for a new laptop computer. Congratulations to Hattie from division two, as she was the lucky winner. As well, all top fundraisers received prizes including art packages, gift cards, a Pogo stick and a Go-Pro. This was a VERY exciting assembly and student representatives from all classes had the opportunity to show off their spelling skills. A special thank you to Mrs. Christine Young from our PAC, as she spent a lot of time and effort organizing the very successful event. Our next school-wide event is our annual school carnival being held on June 2nd. We hope to see you all there!!
