The Library

Reading Link Challenge is for students in grade 4 & 5.  Students read a series of books (chosen by the public library) and gear up to challenge other schools in Feb/Mar.  The challenge is to remember and discuss details from the books.

English Bluff Library Link – Excellent Resources recommended by Ms. Krug

Hello English Bluff Families!

Hello from the English Bluff library learning commons! I am Ms. K, the teacher librarian! Students will have a chance each week to select new library books to borrow. Please have students return books (whenever they’re finished) to the green library bins in each classroom. Bins will be dropped off to the library each Friday to ensure books are checked in over the weekend. Thanks for returning books in a timely manner so that lots of friends have the opportunity to borrow them!

The outside library door will be open Tuesday and Thursday mornings before school begins, around 8:30 am. Students are welcome to come in to play a quiet game, read a book or catch up on work. I am so excited to see you every week in the library learning commons!

Dates to remember:

October 31: To celebrate Halloween, we will be hosting a spooky book walk for students around the school yard. Please bring in your literary- themed pumpkins on the morning of October 31 to decorate our pathway! Students will take pumpkins home at the end of the day. I can’t wait to see your fabulous costumes and creative pumpkins!

November 20 – 24: The Scholastic Book Fair will be here once again! Families have the option of sending money to school with students to purchase books and more during their weekly library blocks (and potentially at recess or lunch, depending on demand!) Families are welcome to shop the book fair on Wednesday (22nd) and Friday (24th) after school at 3:00pm. I can’t wait to help you find the perfect book!
