School Fees

English Bluff became an accredited IB (International Baccalaureate) School in 2018.  At that time, the Delta School District approved the implementation of the IB PYP at EB with a fee structure to cover the operational costs of the program.  If families choose to attend English Bluff, they are obligated to pay the fees, which go directly to the School Board.
In order to meet the costs associated with being an IB World School the School District charges fees to cover program costs – including IB World School fees, BC IB Association fees, increased staff to accommodate the expanded French, ADST, and Music program, and resource costs. All Teachers need to commit to becoming IB certified, and must work with an IB Coordinator to implement and revise Units of Inquiry based on the 6 transdisciplinary themes outlined in the IB framework.

 

APPLICATION FEE (New Registrations Only): A $100.00 application fee is required for all new students entering the IB program at English Bluff (international students are also expected to pay an application fee through the International Programs Department). This application fee is due at the time of registration and is required to secure a place in the program. Should you make an application for your child and we are unable to accommodate that application (due to shortage of space, or other circumstances that may preclude admittance), then your $100 application fee will be refunded. However, should your child(ren) be offered a spot at English Bluff and the offer is declined for any reason; the application fee will not be refunded.

The first term fee payment is also due on the date of registration. Once a school term has begun, families will not be eligible to receive a refund in whole or in part for that term. However, families are entitled to full reimbursement of any paid term that has not yet commenced.

FEE STRUCTURE

All fees are based on a 10-month cycle (September-June) and can be paid either in a one lump sum payment or three scheduled instalments.
